When is the deadline?

Submissions for the 2nd edition of TAR will be open from July 15th until October 15th, 2024.

Can I submit more than one story?

Yes. Unlimited entries are allowed. Each story must be 1,000-5,000 words and be submitted individually.

How old do I have to be to submit?

We are currently only accepting submissions from individuals who are 18 and older.

Does my submission have to be Prose?

We are currently only accepting short fiction. We are not accepting poetry, screenplays, personal nonfiction essays, chapters of novels, illustrations, or other forms of visual art.

I’m not from orange county. can I still submit to the arvida review?

Yes. We are excited to welcome submissions from around the world.

Can i submit my published story?

No. We only consider previously unpublished material.

Will I retain the rights to my story if you publish it?

Yes. You will retain all rights after publication. We ask that you mention The Arvida Review published your work first in subsequent publications.

Does the arvida review have an ai policy?

The Arvida Review is vehemently opposed to works that have been created through AI processes. We are dedicated to publishing authentic and original works.

Running a spellchecker or grammar tool on a finished piece is acceptable.

Individuals who willingly violate this policy will no longer be considered for publication.

Can I request a submission fee waiver?

Yes. Please get in touch with us to discuss this. We refuse to let anyone’s financial situation keep them from telling their story.
