When is the deadline?

The deadline has been extended to February 15th, 2024.

Can I submit more than one story?

Yes! Each writer may submit as many stories as they like. Each story must be 1,000-10,000 words and be submitted individually.

How old do I have to be to submit?

We are currently only accepting submissions from individuals who are 18 and older.

Does my submission have to be Prose?

We are currently only accepting short fiction. We are not accepting poetry, screenplays, personal nonfiction essays, illustrations or other forms of visual art, or chapters of novels.

I’m not from orange county. can I still submit to the arvida review?

Yes! We are excited to welcome submissions from everywhere. With that said, we do prefer authors local to Tustin and surrounding Orange County areas.

Can i submit my published story?

Yes! As long as you have the copyrights to the story, feel free to submit it! However, we do prefer unpublished work.

Will I retain the rights to my story if you publish it?

Yes! You will retain all rights after publication (we do ask that you mention that The Arvida Review published first in all features afterwards).

Does the arvida review have an ai policy?

We do not accept submissions that have been created using AI at any point in the writing process.

Can I request a submission fee waiver?

Yes! Please get in touch with us to discuss this. We refuse to let anyone’s financial situation keep them from telling their story.
